Italian firm joins competition in Brazilian financial software

Financial systems firm Tagetik has launched its operations in Brazil, the company announced today.
In addition, the Italian software house – which also supplies performance management and business intelligence systems – has partnered with Brazilian integrator Twice Software in order to further extend its reach in the Brazilian market.
Tagetik hired Antonio Rihl, a former executive at Business Objects (now part of SAP) and Hyperion (now owned by Oracle), to lead the firm’s operations out of Sao Paulo.
Rihl will be accountable for brand development, products and partnerships. He hopes that, despite fierce competition, his firm will be able to find a place in the sun with its packages and soon become “one of the first choices” for users seeking financial management software.
“Brazil is a unique market. It’s huge in potential and full of contrasts, offering profitable growth and big risk factors and that’s the sweet spot for business performance management solutions, especially for budgeting, planning and forecasting,” Rihl said.
